Join Us.Great neighborhoods don't build themselves. They're built by neighbours like you who show up at events, at meetings, with a hammer, with an idea, or simply with their presence. Whether you're ready to join as a member, volunteer for a shift, or step onto the board, there's a place for you here at Steele Heights. Come participate. Come belong.
|
Membership.Anyone over 16 who lives in the Steele Heights catchment is eligible for a membership. For specifics on the catchment area, please see our location map.
Memberships are valid for one year and renew in September. For details on all membership options, please visit our membership page. |
Volunteer. We have the vision, but we need your energy to make it happen. Volunteering with the Steele Heights Community League is the most direct way to meet your neighbours, shape your community, and have fun while doing it. No task is too small, and no effort goes unnoticed. Step up, sign up, and let's build this neighbourhood together.

Leadership. Our SHCL board meets at the hall on the third Monday of every month at 6:30 p.m. Everyone is welcome to attend. The annual general meeting (AGM) and elections are in May.
Our board is presently looking to welcome more members. If you're interested in getting involved in this capacity, please reach out to our President, Jeff, for more info. |
Why participate in the league?Be a neighbour, not just a resident.
Great neighborhoods don't happen by accident. They happen because people like you show up with purpose, intention and a desire to connect. The participation of community members in events, programs and decision making within the community league makes it possible for our league, and everything it offers, to continue running. Whether you're showing up as a volunteer, participant or board member, your participation contributes to building our community and demonstrates it's worthwhile offering programs and events to our local area. At Steele Heights Community League we believe that the best ideas come from the kitchen table, not city hall. When you participate, you help decide how our resources are spent, what programs are offered, and what the future of our area looks like. Your voice matters. Your involvement makes a difference. |
Who can join? Our events and programs are generally open to all members of the public and are not required to be a member to participate or volunteer. The exception to this is for league meetings such as monthly board meetings and AGM, which are open to residents of the community; both members and adherents.
