We're holding our Annual General Meeting on Monday, May 27th at 7pm. It will be held at York School (61 St and 138 Ave).
Come out and help build your community! We will:

Your neighbourhood is working with the City of Edmonton to plan a Spray Deck for York Park. The project may include a water play area, walking trails, trees, tables, benches, and a decorative feature such as a pergola or gazebo. Our goal is installation in 2015 but to do this we need your help. We require a few residents to participate in the planning process. It is a commitment of 1-2 hours a months for the first few months with it becoming even less as we wait on funding submission. Currently the Community League has motioned to support the project with funding when the project is ready.
We have approximately 4000 residents in our community and we are looking for 2-3 people not currently sitting on the community league board to help out. For the last year, residents from Londonderry and York neighbourhoods have been working with the City of Edmonton to create a local walking map. Well, the time has come and the map is ready! It is currently with the designer in preparation for printing this month. We will be delivering a copy of the map to every household in York in June. Watch for it in your mailbox very soon.

The hall renovations are well underway. The League Executive received a tour of the interior recently and the work is on schedule.
Although not all elements in the concept drawings found below will be realized in this phase of the project, the changes required to reopen the hall should be complete in July 2013.
We want to acknowledge Area 17 Council as they graciously provided the seed funding for this project. Other major funders include the City of Edmonton and the Province of Alberta.
